Film La Femme is proud to be partnering with the Depth of Field Film Festival! Film La Femme (or Tri-State Film La Femme) was started by Shelby Hagerdon in 2020 as a group for diverse filmmakers in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Its purpose is to support women, non-binary, and minority filmmakers and give them a platform for their voices to be heard and uplifted.

Film La Femme will be presenting their own award at the festival to one filmmaker from a diverse or marginalized group whose film celebrates diversity and promotes equity.
